Where Kat Baloun and a stage meet, there is a party!
At some point in the seventies, the daughter of a classical pianist from Cincinnati, Ohio was infected by the blues bacillus and has since become one of the most sought-after singers of this style.
Kat also developed an astonishing virtuosity on a vest pocket instrument almost on the side: The harmonica.
In 1974, Kat moved to San Francisco where she sang and played harp in an acoustic Delta Blues quartet, the Elmer Lee Thomas Blues Revue. For a while she also spent in New Orleans. The energy bundle Kat Baloun has lived in Germany since 1994 and causes a sensation across Europe with her humorous mix of blues, soul and rock.
Since then she has played with many well-known European blues musicians, ia. with the Tomi Leino Trio, Blues Rudy, Steve “Big Man” Clayton, Nina T.Davis, Hattie St.John, Amy Zapf, Jan Mohr, Abi Wallenstein u.v.m.
With humour and emotion, Kat is a guarantee for a super show!
